Oxford Dictionary App Reviews

The app is worth the money but it has also many flaws which nerve and prevent me from giving a 5. 1. The pronunciation is too silent and often unclear. Positige is of course the app has more entries with pronunciation then competitors. 2. the app is not integrated with other oxford products. Major fault. I dont want to switch between apps when working, therefore dont want to buy more products from oxford. 3. flashcard function is in my opinion not well done.

Dont buy the premium version. I paid $16.95 for my version, and suddenly I no longer have audio... If I select it the App crashes. And the version is no longer supported. Very disappointed in an institution I used to respect.

Awkward Annoying Over the top money pit.

Its free for gods sake. Finds words, defines words, gives origin. Isnt that what you want? Obviously they want you to buy upgrades- thats how free apps work - but I havent felt the need.

I cant explain why I didnt take heed of the previous reviews; I suppose I didnt want to believe that anything with the Oxford dictionary label could be so bloody useless.

Worst dictionary ive ever

Oxford dictionary uses gender stereotypes and sexist and hateful examples. Deleting the app will exclusively use dictionary.com . Shame Im headed to do my masters so will be using dictionary/ thesaurus a lot in my academic career. But cant support the archaic discriminatory examples.

I have never seen any app like that it is excellent but it needs little regulation like there is no back button to go previous words THANK YOU SO MUCH.

Beautiful app but it crashes with IOS7.... Do something with it!!

Oxford dictionary can let you tour in a land of words, we can start to talking about "Word of the day" it is maybe based on an online research, and can take the explain of that words simply by the camera! Really Nice!!!

Very well done app which allows you to search for every kind of word with great explanations!

I just paid $20 for full access. Many words dont include origin of word which is what I needed to know. Not good enough. Feeling gypped and disgusted.

Paid $20, but the app still takes up valuable screen real estate hawking its other apps with buttons. Its still an ad.

Perfect Dictionary.. Cool...!

The free version of this app contains incredibly distracting moving ads. I deleted it after looking up only three words. Not worth the gigabytes.
